SUN 2 FEB 2025  - Abbey Leys Farmers’ Market 10am – 1pm.  Abbey Leys Organic Farm in Peacock Lane, High Legh WA16 6NS. (Loads of free parking and a smashing little farm shop for any items you don’t find at the market.)

Wow your guests with my walnut pie

The items listed below can be ordered for collection from my home between 3 pm and 6 pm on Sunday 22 December 2024.  If you haven’t been here before I will send directions when I confirm your order.

BREAD

All made with certified organic flour and suitable for vegetarians and vegans. All suitable for home-freezing (always defrost baked goods in an airtight bag or box to prevent drying out).

400g traditional white loaf – £2.70

800g traditional white loaf – £3.90

400g miracle bread – £3.20

Miracle baps – £3.20 for 4

OTHER YEASTED PRODUCTS (SWEET AND SAVOURY)

All made with certified organic flour and suitable for home-freezing (always defrost baked goods in an airtight bag or box to prevent drying out).

Giant Chelsea bun – £3.00 Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Giant teacakes.  £5 for a bag of 4. Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

Handmade Giant Teacakes

Savoury brioche tart (veggie) with sharp cheddar, tomatoes, onions, spinach and basil  - £3.70 per 1/4 tart (enough for 2 average portions); £7.20 per 1/2 tart; £14.00 per whole tart.  I recommend defrosting frozen whole or part tarts as above then re-heating without covering at 170 – 180 degrees C on a pre-heated baking tray for approx 20 minutes (all ovens vary).  This should give a nice crisp crust and an homogenous creamy top.

CAKES ETC

Harry’s cake – for lovers of nuts, ginger and cherries £18.00 per kg.  Whole cakes weigh +/- 500g (+/-£9.00). 1/2 cakes also available (+/- £4.50). A smashing alternative to a Christmas cake.  BBE 12/1/25

Walnut pie.  £3.50 per 1/8 pie – plenty for 2 portions. £26 per whole pie.  Will keep in your fridge for two months from the date of purchase (applies even to part pies, so long as they’re wrapped in foil or film).  Pie contains no preservatives other than sugar.

Little Christmas Cakes.  £7.50 each. I make these in baked bean tins so they’re grand for gifting to individuals or couples. They look like smaller versions of the picture above but they’re nut-free. They come in a cellophane gifting bag, (Baked bean tin not included!). Sorry but I’ve already sold out of my larger Christmas Cakes. Please get in touch any time if you’d like a large cake for Christmas 2025.
