SAT 9 MAR 2024 – Saughall Farmers’ Market at The Vernon Institute, Church Road, Saughall CH1 6EN 9am – 12 noon and collections from my home in CH2 3pm – 6pm

SAT 16 MAR  2024 – Taste Cheshire Local Producers’ Market on Chester Town Hall Square – approx 10am – 4pm

SAT 23 MAR 2024 – Saughall Farmers’ Market Spring Fair at The Vernon Institute, Church Road, Saughall CH1 6EN 9am – 2pm noon and collections from my home in CH2 4.30pm – 6.30pm

The items listed below can be ordered for collection from my home between 3pm and 6pm on Sat 24 Feb.   If you haven’t been here before I will send directions when I confirm your order.

Please try to order before midnight on Thursday.  I will accept later orders when possible.

As always, all the flours I use are certified organic.  Any questions about ingredients / allergies, please contact me.

BREAD

(All suitable for vegetarians and vegans)

400g traditional white loaf – £2.70

800g traditional white loaf – £3.90

400g miracle bread – £3.00

Miracle baps – £3.00 for 4

570g wholegrain rye sourdough tin loaf with figs and fennel seeds – £3.60

OTHER YEASTED PRODUCTS

Giant teacakes £4.50 per bag of 4 (suitable for vegetarians and vegans)

Giant Chelsea bun – £2.80 (suitable for vegetarians and vegans)

Giant apple and cinnamon bun   £2.80 (suitable for vegetarians and vegans)

220g ‘butterful brioche’ mini-loaf – £3.00 (suitable for vegetarians but not suitable for vegans)

Wow your guests with my walnut pie

Walnut pie – £3.20 for 1/8 pie (enough for 2+ portions) / £24 for a whole pie (16+ portions)

Harry's Cake - for lovers of nuts and stem ginger

Harry’s cake – for lovers of nuts, ginger and cherries £17 per kg.  Cakes weigh +/- 500g. 1/2 cakes also available

SAVOURIES

Veggie Parsnip and Cashew Nut Roast

Savoury brioche tart (V) with sharp cheddar, tomatoes, onions, spinach and basil  - £3.70 per 1/4 tart (enough for 2 average portions); £7.20 per 1/2 tart; £13.00 per whole tart.

Sausage roll with Pen y Lan free-range rare-breed pork and onions and sage from my garden.  More (avg 130g) filling but now with less pastry. £3.00

Veggie parsnip and cashew nut roast (V).  Serves 2.  Already cooked.  Eat hot or cold.  Very easy to re-heat in your oven, microwave or frying pan.  BB Thursday evening or freeze for up to 6 months. £6 each or 2 for £11.
