Sorry but I can only manage a small bake this week-end.
Collect from my home in CH2 between 3pm and 5pm SATURDAY 12 JUNE. If you haven’t been here before I’ll supply directions when I confirm your order. Any offers to volunteer to help with deliveries will be appreciated.
Next bake after this should be Sat 19 June for the Taste Cheshire Market on Chester Town Hall Square (9.30 am – 4.30 pm) with a much wider choice of products.
This Sat 12 June I’m planning to bake the following (with certified organic flours, as always) and please remember – all my produce freezes well:
GENUINE SOURDOUGH ‘HEAVIES’
Naturally leavened with no bakers’ yeast and ‘heavy’ only because made with 100% stoneground wholegrain flours (not because sourdough).
570g Stoneground wholegrain rye ‘Borodinsky’ tin loaf with coriander seeds – £3.40
570g Stoneground wholegrain rye tin loaf with toasted hazelnuts and toasted pumpkin seeds – £3.40
OTHER YEASTED PRODUCTS
Teacakes (in bags of four) – £3.80
Little ‘Butterful’ Brioche Loaf (avg 220g) £2.50
CAKES etc
Walnut Pie – £24 for a whole pie. 3.00 per slice (this is 1/8 of a pie and is easily plenty for 2 portions). If you order more than one slice I will not cut them separately, meaning that you can choose portion size.
Harry’s Cake (for lovers of nuts and ginger). HALF PRICE as the best by date is 8 June but the cakes will be fine for at least 2 more weeks. Price is down from £16.00 per kg to £8 per kg so cakes will now cost between £3.75 and £4.40 approx.
Apricot energy bars with walnuts and local raw honey. £2.50 per pack of 2 bars.
VEGGIE SAVOURIES
Savoury Brioche Tart with tomatoes and basil or with broccoli and stilton. Suitable for vegetarians. Whole rectangular tart – £13 (approx 30 x 20 x 2.5 cm). Half rectangular tart £7. Quarter rectangular tart £3.60. (No round tarts this week.) One quarter is sufficient for two portions. Will keep in your fridge until Wednesday or can be frozen.
